Lawyer defends SML founder Evans Adusei, calls him a self-made Ghanaian entrepreneur

Lawyer for Strategic Mobilization Ghana Limited (SML), Cephas Boyuo, has dismissed recent allegations surrounding the company’s ownership, stressing that its founder, Evans Adusei, is a genuine Ghanaian entrepreneur with a solid business track record.

“The claim ignores verifiable documentation and business records demonstrating that Adusei is an independent and long-established Ghanaian entrepreneur,” Boyuo said in a statement to the press.

He described Adusei as a “self-made person” who had built a successful career long before the establishment of SML. “This is somebody who has been doing so well. He’s a self-made person,” Boyuo emphasized.

According to him, the formation of SML in 2017 was not a sudden or suspicious development but rather a logical extension of Adusei’s previous ventures. “The creation of SML in 2017 was a natural diversification step,” he explained.

Boyuo added that Adusei’s credibility is supported by his ownership of several legitimate businesses. “His credibility is backed by existing entities such as Evans Timbers Limited and Evatex Logistics Limited,” he said.

Providing further context, the lawyer noted that one of Adusei’s companies operates across multiple stages of production. “Evans Timbers Limited doesn’t just process timber — it also finishes and exports its own products,” Boyuo pointed out.

He maintained that the evidence clearly shows Adusei’s businesses have a strong operational history, rejecting attempts to link SML’s origins to external interests.
