Let constituents know you’re there to protect and not intimidate—NPP MP to Police

Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has urged the Ghana Police Service to take advantage of their early presence in Akwatia to educate the people.

He is of the view that their presence in the various communities in the constituency is very intimidating, and it will make sense if they take advantage to educate the public that their presence there is to protect them and not intimidate them.

Alexander Akwasi Acquah was speaking to mynewsgh.com in an interview when he made this known.

“The presence of the police in Akwatia is a good thing. However, I think that they should take advantage of their presence there and educate the people that they are there to protect them. They should not let the people feel that something bad is going to happen; that is why they have been deployed in droves to the constituency,” he said.

He was optimistic that the New Patriotic Party would carry the day on September 2, indicating that if the election is free and fair.
