Let’s behave like we believe we can win back power in 2028

Former President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has urged the New Patriotic Party to believe they can win power back in 2028.

To him, it is about time the party stops feeling sorry over the 2024 defeat and rise up to work towards rebuilding to reclaim power in 2028.

“Political parties win or lose elections. Yes, we have lost an election. But I know we can come back. So, we should stop feeling sorry for ourselves. Let’s pick ourselves up, reorganise, and go forward as one. We should stop feeling sorry for ourselves and behave like we believe we can win back the trust of the people for 2028.”

The former president made this known when he met constituency organisers within the Greater Accra Region of the political party at his home.

They used the opportunity to express their desire to see the role of the constituency organisers clearly defined in the NPP Constitution as part of the amendments being proposed.
