Listen to the grassroots and make the right choice – Ken Agyapong to NPP delegates

Presidential hopeful Kennedy Agyapong has called on delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote in alignment with the desires of the party’s grassroots base as the NPP’s National Annual Delegates Conference draws near.

In a video message shared ahead of the event slated for Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Legon, Agyapong emphasized the importance of choosing a candidate who reflects the will of the people.

“Good morning MPP delegates. I take this opportunity to welcome all of you to Accra for MPP Delegates Conference.

I’m pleading with you to take a right decision that reflects the views of Ghanaians and the delegates, especially the grassroots,” he said.

He continued, “They are the voice of the people and we should listen to them. If they want a victory for us then we should give them their choice.

So I’m pleading with all the delegates to make the right decision to help this party win the 2028 elections.”

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the National Planning Committee, Joseph Osei-Owusu, has assured party members and the public that the conference will proceed as planned, despite petitions from some members requesting a date change.

Speaking to journalists, Mr. Osei-Owusu confirmed that the National Council had received a formal petition urging a revision of the conference date.

However, “after careful deliberation, the Council decided to maintain the original schedule,” he stated.
