Look at Sammy Gyamfi’s role in the resurgence of the Cedi and forgive him- Dr Michael Ayamga Adongo

Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Operations, EPA, Dr Michael Ayamga Adongo has joined calls for Sammy Gyamfi to be pardoned.

He believes that the young man has learned lessons from what happened between him and Nana Agradaa.

Indicating that it has nothing to do with his competence and work so that should not be a subject for discussion.

To him, Sammy Gyamfi’s role in the resurgence of the Cedi should be something the government needs to look at in taking a decision on the matter.

In a post shared via social media he said “What comrade Sammy Gyamfi did is reprehensible and offensive to the many struggling to feed. I condemn that moment of indiscretion especially given the recipient of this act of generosity. That said, I don’t see anything that points to corruption or incompetence so his job should not be subject of discussion. Infact we are seeing a resurgence of the Cedi party because of what that young man has done.

He has learned a lesson. I have learned a lesson but that won’t change us. We will continue to show compassion but with some decorum. I join my colleague to apologize to the people of Ghana and to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama“.
