Mahama celebrates 33 years of marriage with Lordina

President John Dramani Mahama has marked 33 years of marriage with his wife and Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Mahama, with a touching tribute celebrating their enduring bond.

In a message shared on social media alongside a photo of the couple, President Mahama wrote: “33 years of pure bliss, love, laughter, and unwavering support. Happy anniversary, my love.”

The message has drawn warm responses from Ghanaians, with many commending the couple for serving as a symbol of consistency, loyalty, and family values in public life.

John and Lordina Mahama married in 1992, long before Mahama entered frontline politics.

Their union has since grown to include five children and has remained one of the most admired political marriages in the country.

Throughout his time as Vice President and President, Mahama often credited Lordina for being his “pillar of strength,” both in the quiet moments away from the spotlight and during the toughest times of his public service.

Lordina has consistently played a key role in championing health and education support initiatives, especially for women and children in underserved communities.
