Mahama declares three days of national mourning for Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings

President John Dramani Mahama has declared three days of national mourning following the death of former First Lady, H.E. Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
In a statement signed by the Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the government announced that “all national flags shall fly at half-mast at all public buildings, diplomatic missions, and government installations throughout the country and abroad” from Friday, October 24 to Sunday, October 26, 2025.
“This is in honour of her memory and in recognition of her distinguished service to our nation,” the statement read.
It further highlighted that Mrs. Agyeman-Rawlings “served Ghana with dedication and commitment, particularly in women’s empowerment, child welfare, and social development.”
The government expressed its condolences to her family and loved ones, saying, “The Government extends its deepest condolences to the family, her children, and all who mourn this irreplaceable loss.”
“May her soul rest in perfect peace,” the statement concluded.
