Mahama diverting attention from failed 24-Hour Economy with political witch-hunting—Ahiagbah

Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, believes that the arrest of Chairman Wontumi and other political persecutions being undertaken by the current government is geared towards diverting attention.

According to him, the president, while in opposition, assured the people of Ghana of some bread-and-butter issues that have not seen the light of day.

He cited the 24-hour economy, which implementation has not seen the light of day since taking office.

To him, the president should focus on creating the jobs he promised young people in Ghana and not use all his time to persecute political opponents.

“President Mahama and the NDC are employing diversionary tactics to deflect attention from the bread-and-butter issues of the day. They promised a 24-hour economy but are instead delivering 24-hour intimidation of political opponents… Holding people accountable should not be used as a coverup for this government’s inefficiency… Mr. President, where are the jobs? Ghanaians are asking,” he said in a social media post.
