Corporate tax cuts to companies will help address worrying unemployment rate

Member of Parliament for Akyem Swedru, Hon. Eugene Osei Nyarko, has urged the government to, as a matter of urgency, implement a policy that will give big corporate tax cuts or tax holidays to companies.

He holds the view that this will ensure that the private sector can employ or absorb some of our young graduates right after school.

He believes that the rate of unemployment in the country is becoming very alarming, and the earlier such decisions are taken to ensure a number of graduates are absorbed, the better for the country.

Eugene Osei Nyarko made this known in a post shared via social media.

He said “I think one of the ways we can deal with the increasing graduate unemployment situation we are grappling with as a country is for Government to implement a policy that will give big corporate tax cuts or tax holidays to companies that are able to employ or absorb some of our young graduates right after school.

This approach could also help mitigate the overwhelming annual graduates unemployment burden on the Government and the state”.
