Mahama visits injured potential recruits at 37 Military hospital

President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has visited the 37 Military hospital to visit potential recruits who have sustained injuries.
The president was in the company of the acting Defence Minister, his deputy, Minister in charge of Information and other government appointees.
Reports indicate the 12 potential recruits have lost their lives while’s 5 are in ICU with 12 others in a critical condition.
They lost their during a stampede at the EL Wak sports stadium where the screening process is taking place in Accra.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the stampede was triggered by an unexpected surge of applicants who breached security protocols and rushed into the gates ahead of scheduled screening at about 0620 hours.
