‘Big Brother’ star Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin arrested again for violating protective order

Former Big Brother winner Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin has once again found himself in legal trouble. The reality TV star was arrested on Friday after failing to appear in court for a hearing related to a protective order violation.

The restraining order was originally put in place to prevent Malin from contacting his former Big Brother co-star, Dr. Will Kirby.

However, Malin allegedly defied the order by reaching out to Kirby’s wife, leading to his latest arrest. His bail has been set at $20,000, and he is expected to appear in court on March 20.

This is just the latest in a string of legal issues for Malin. In 2019, he was convicted of felony stalking against Dr. Kirby and sentenced to two years probation.

More recently, in January 2025, he was arrested for allegedly shoplifting alcohol and energy drinks from multiple CVS locations in Southern California.

Dr. Kirby’s attorney, Sam Ahmadpour, stressed the importance of following legal restrictions, stating, “Protective orders exist for a reason, and no one is above the law.

We expect full accountability for this violation.”

Malin, once known for his strategic gameplay on Big Brother, now seems to be making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
