Man who threatened to kill police remanded by court

A 32-year-old man who described himself as a filmmaker has been remanded into custody after he allegedly threatened to kill any police officer he encountered.
The young man, identified as Israel Agbo Forson, was arraigned before the Dansoman Circuit Court where he pleaded not guilty to a charge of threatening death.
According to the prosecution, Forson had a confrontation with a National Police Patrol Team on June 18, 2025, near Wisconsin University while riding in an Uber.
The officers had requested to search both the vehicle and his belongings.
While the driver cooperated, Forson reportedly objected and demanded that the officers wear gloves before touching his items.
Following a verbal exchange, all parties agreed to proceed to the Taifa Police Station.
There, the search was conducted in the presence of the District Commander, and Forson was released on police enquiry bail.
However, shortly after his release, Forson recorded a video in which he threatened to kill any police officer who crossed his path.
He circulated the footage on social media. Police intelligence later confirmed his identity, and he was arrested again on June 23.
