Memorial service held for Airmen lost in Adansi helicopter crash

On Friday night, the Takoradi Air Force Base held a solemn memorial for three airmen who died in last Wednesday’s helicopter crash at Adansi Afuokrom in the Ashanti Region.

Service members, relatives, and friends gathered to pay their respects to Squadron Leader Peter Baafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manaen Twum Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Mensah Addo.
A book of condolence was opened, and candles were lit in their honour by representatives from various units.

Among the mourners was Lieutenant Ewuradwoa Kumi-Kyeremeh, widow of Flying Officer Ampadu.
A Ghana Navy officer and clinical psychologist for the Garrison, she attended not in her professional role, but to grieve her husband’s loss alongside the gathered crowd.
