Minority’s donation to Adum Market victims laughable

Former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joseph Ade Coker, has described the donation by the Minority in Parliament to victims of the Adum fire disaster as laughable.

According to him, the amount of money donated cannot change the story of the victims in any way.

To him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of these traders for the past eight years, but they did nothing.

Therefore, a donation of Ghc 200,000 makes no difference and won’t change much.

“The minority’s donation to the Adum victims is laughable. They want to politicize everything. They were there and taking praises. NDC can also donate, but does that solve the problem? There are 88 MPs, so if you divide it that means each MP donated Ghc 2,200, and can that help build the market?

This was a political gimmick, and that is what is destroying the country while the people are suffering. In eight years you couldn’t build the central market, and that has led people to sell on the pavements,” he said.
