Musah Superior Blasts NPP as ‘Incompetent Opposition’

Former Deputy Chief Executive of the Forestry Commission Musah Superior has chided the opposition New Patriotic Party for their incompetence in opposition.
According to him, the John Dramani Mahama-led government is a failing government; however, the NPP has become so incompetent in opposition that it cannot put the government on its feet.
He premises his claims on the silence of the NPP on the recent 5% fee on foreign exchange withdrawals.
To him, this introduction is clearly an indication that the John Dramani Mahama-led government is failing.
However, they continue to enjoy the good will of the people of Ghana because the largest opposition political party is not focused on being a competent opposition but are rather at each other’s throats.
In a social media post on the matter, he said, “Commercial banks in Ghana now charge a 5% fee on foreign exchange withdrawals. Yes it is true! The NDC via the Bank of Ghana quietly implemented this policy. This TAX applies to foreign currency accounts that receive funds through electronic transfers or cheques. If you withdraw $10,000 for example, you will be taxed $500 which is equivalent 6500 Ghc. This is a COMPLETE rip off. I have read the reasons for this draconian directive and totally reject same.
This is a failing govt. But it appears the NPP is unwilling or unprepared or incompetent to keep the feet of the government to the fire”.
