Comic sensation Broda Shaggi says he remains grounded by maintaining close communication with his mother and constantly evaluating himself despite fame. He disclosed this during a sit-down with Chude Jideonwo which was monitored by MyNewsGh.
“She’s happy, and that’s the most important thing for me,” he said about his mother, who still lives on the mainland and has refused to relocate. “She’s not where I want her to be yet. I have big visions for her.”
Shaggi also addressed public assumptions about his age. According to him, many people are shocked when they learn he is 28. “People do get surprised. They feel I’ve been around for a long time,” he noted.
The actor said success can easily lead to pride, so he intentionally checks himself. “When I start feeling like ‘Yes, I’m the one,’ I ask my manager, ‘Am I doing good? Is there anything I need to work on?’”
He added that he is currently avoiding pressure to marry. “My mama has been shouting, ‘Go and bring wife.’ But I told her I am in a very serious relationship with God.”
Shaggi stressed that his goal is to remain authentic and keep growing at his own pace.
