Policy analyst Dr Steve Manteaw is of the opinion that if the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) present a presidential ticket of Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson and Energy Minister John Jinapor in the 2028 General Elections, it could easily win.
While stressing that the Ministers must concentrate on helping President John Mahama achieve his vision for the country, he noted that the ticket will be a formidable one come 2028.
“Ato Forson-Jinapor’s ticket will be hard to beat. For now, they must focus on helping JM to deliver,” Dr Manteaw wrote on social media.
Key personalities whose names have come up in the flagbearership race of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) include Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Haruna Iddrisu, Julius Debrah, Cassiel Ato Forson, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and Joshua Alabi.
Polls by Global InfoAnalytics have put Haruna Iddrisu, Johnson Asiedu Nketia and Cassiel Ato Forson as the frontrunners.
