NDC frustrating collation in Ablekuma North because they know they lost —Kodua

General Secretary for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua, is of the view that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) lost the Ablekuma North seat, and that is why they are frustrating the process.

According to him, just like the NPP accepted the defeat in Dome Kwabenya, the NDC must accept that they have lost the Ablekuma North seat and move on.

He has announced that the New Patriotic Party will, in the coming days, roll out its plans to legally ensure that the collation is done and the winner of the polls declared.

Justin Kodua chided the government, the NDC, and the Ghana Police Service for being in bed with each other and frustrating the process.

“If the NDC won the Ablekuma North seat, the Police would have provided protection for the results to be declared. They know they did not win in Ablekuma North, which is why they are frustrating the process because they know that if the collation takes place, the NPP will win. We are aware that the Ghana Police Service is doing the bidding of the NDC. After every election, political parties are given pink sheets and other documents, and that is what we expect them to collate and declare the winner as we did for Dome,” he said.

Adding further that “We discussed this at NEC and we have some legal steps to take to ensure that the votes are collated in Ablekuma North. They know that the NPP won and so that is why they are frustrating the process”.
