Scores of National Democratic Congress (NDC) members in the Akwatia Constituency are not happy with the outcome of the Akwatia primaries.
According to them, the party hasn’t been fair to Erasmus Koney Ali who has sacrificed for the party.
They allege that the party supported Bernard Bediako who paid money to delegates to win the bid to represent the party in the region.
They have vowed to vote massively against the party in the upcoming September 2, 2025.
”Asanka has worked very hard even than the sitting MP. The party wasn’t fair to him because they brought the Lawyer and made payments of two thousand and four thousand to win. If they have mistreated Asanka, we will also show them by voting for the NPP,” an NDC member who spoke to MyNewsGh.com in Akwatia said.
Bernard Bediako won the August 4, 2025 primary with 380 votes.
Akwatia will go to the polls on September 2, 2025 to elect a Member of Parliament after the passing of their sitting Member of Parliament.
