Member of Parliament for Chiana Paga, Hon Nikyema Billa Alamzy, has been summoned by the Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He has been summoned to answer questions pertaining to a viral video of him questioning the logic behind the party’s chairman’s Thank You Tour, considering the fact that he and his constituents have not had any share of the national cake since gaining power.
Alamzy is expected to provide further explanation and make certain clarifications.
He is expected to appear before the committee on September 30, 2025 at 2pm.
Background
Member of Parliament for Chiana Paga, Hon Alamogordo Billa has expressed worry over the distribution of the national cake under the current government.
According to him, although his government is in power, he and his people continue to struggle.
He therefore, does not understand why the party’s Chairman will go on a Thank You tour when the party people after voting massively are not benefiting from the party.
”Our party cannot be in power and we will still be suffering. In my constituency what are they coming there to thank us for? You’ve not given us appointment, youth employment is zero. What are you coming to thank us for? Come and let’s talks and know that this is what we need,” he said.
