New Mpox cases hits, 14, no deaths or admissions reported

The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 14 new Mpox cases, pushing the country’s cumulative case count to 133 as of June 25, 2025.
The latest update, released through an official GHS bulletin, brings renewed attention to the ongoing public health response to the viral disease.
Reassuringly, the update shows zero new deaths and no individuals currently on admission, suggesting that all active cases are being effectively managed without the need for hospitalisation.
Total deaths remain at zero, reflecting the success of early detection and outpatient care strategies.
Mpox, previously known as monkeypox, spreads mainly through close contact with infected individuals.
In light of this, health authorities are urging the public to strictly observe hygiene and safety protocols, especially in environments where transmission risks are higher.
The GHS has maintained its commitment to closely monitoring the situation while calling on the public not to panic but to remain vigilant.
