Mahama’s 120-day action plan is great, but does he have the right people to deliver? Jantuah quizzes

Lawyer and governance expert, Kwame Jantuah, has praised the president’s 120-day action plan but cautioned that the success of the initiative will hinge heavily on its implementation and the calibre of people leading the charge.
Speaking on The Forum on Asaase Radio, Jantuah acknowledged the president’s commitment to overseeing the plan, commending his vigilance and no-nonsense approach to execution.
“The president has an eagle eye on implementation. If you step out of line, he will make sure you are removed from office,” he stated.
According to him, while planning is important, it is ultimately the follow-through that makes the real difference.
“For me, it’s not just about planning. It’s about implementation — that’s where the real challenge lies,” Jantuah emphasised.
He revealed that the president, after agreeing to suggestions, came up with a 120-day strategy to kickstart reforms and has remained committed to it.
“He agreed and came up with a 120-day plan — and he has stuck to that plan,” Jantuah noted.
“The question now is: are the people he has chosen to lead the implementation truly in sync with his vision?”
As Ghanaians wait to see the impact of the ambitious plan, Jantuah urged patience but also stressed the need for accountability and results.
“He has only four years. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. But he must ensure the structures and personnel he’s working with are capable of delivering,” he concluded.
The 120-day plan marks one of the administration’s boldest moves yet—but, as Jantuah rightly put it, the devil is in the execution.
