Nigeria will never become an Islamic State

Bishop David Oyedepo has expressed concerns about ongoing violent attacks targeting Christian communities in Nigeria, calling for urgent spiritual action and condemning those behind the killings and abductions.

“The Church of Christ in Nigeria is indestructible. The gates of hell cannot prevail against it,” he said, insisting that “Nigeria will never become an Islamic state.”

He referenced recent attacks, noting, “Five people were shot dead in church last week. Thirty-five abductees can’t tell where they are, and they are demanding a hundred million from a village setting.” He declared that “every perpetrator of these killings and their sponsors come under a curse today.”

Bishop Oyedepo urged members to pray “extensively in the spirit,” saying such prayers would “send angels on a run,” adding repeatedly that “there will be catastrophe in the camp of the wicked.”

He advised congregants to anoint their homes and business places, describing current kidnapping levels as “worse than the scourge of slavery,” and affirmed that those responsible for abductions “within the next seven days… are smelling… are stinking.”

He called for nightly prayers between midnight and 1 a.m., stating, “This shall not continue. 12 midnight tonight, the operation begins. Satan is in trouble.”
