The Nigerian film industry has been hit with yet another heartbreaking loss as veteran actress Nkechi Winnie Nweje has passed away after a brief illness.
Nollywood producer Stanley Ontop took to social media to express his devastation over the news, describing the late actress as an energetic and action-driven woman.
“I have been devastated since yesterday. Let me just wake up from this nightmare pls God. Couldn’t even post since last night. Wake up NK,” he shared in an emotional tribute.
Reflecting on the fleeting nature of life, Stanley Ontop added:
“Na so Stanley Ontop go go one day, a lot will say good and bad things about me. Life is just so unfair, all our struggles and hustles are just vanity. OMG 😳”
Nkechi Nweje was known for her commanding presence on screen and her ability to bring roles to life with passion. Her passing has left a void in Nollywood, with many fans and colleagues mourning her untimely exit.
