Nkechi Blessing breaks down during podcast months after she was body-shamed

Actress Nkechi Blessing broke down in emotion during her appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast monitored by MyNewsGh, opening up about identity, online criticism, and a painful experience involving a breach of her privacy.
Blessing began by asserting her sense of self-worth and identity, rejecting attempts by critics to diminish her.
“My mom’s name is Gloria. You think calling me the name of the woman? This is who I have been. Period,” she said, stressing that she has never pretended to be anything other than herself.
She added that her appearance and fashion choices are based solely on personal comfort.

“I wear the clothes that make me feel comfortable. I’m not trying to hide from nobody,” she stated, holding back tears. “I don’t want to cry on national TV… Okay, you know what? I’m sorry about that.”
Blessing then addressed a previous controversy involving body enhancement and accusations surrounding her looks.
“Listen, you get BBL. You just snap me when they get natural happening. Are you stupid, sis?” she said sharply, clarifying that she resents attempts to shame her.
She went on to reveal how a fitness centre allegedly concealed sensitive information from her, leading her to take legal action. “iFitness hid her information from me.
“I don’t give a f** about iFitness. I found her. I got her arrested, of course, because I don’t come online. You don’t know me,”* she declared, insisting she is far more decisive in private than people assume.
At one point, the conversation shifted unexpectedly when someone asked about her child, causing her emotional state to soften. She revealed her son’s age,“How old is he? He’s six” — before pausing the discussion to speak to him briefly on the phone.
Her tone immediately warmed as she shifted into full mother mode. “Put him on the phone… I just want to say hello to him,” she said. Speaking gently, she asked, “How are you?… How was school today?… Anybody stressed you?… Are you didn’t stress anybody?”
Blessing continued, “Have you eaten? What did they give you in school today?” to which the child replied, “They gave me a Malay sauce.”
Her moment with her son ended with a mild reminder; “Elijah, you’re on national TV.”
