NPP Conference set for July 18–19 at UG Sports Stadium

Chairman of the Planning Committee for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2025 National Annual Delegates Conference, Joseph Osei-Owusu, popularly known as Joe Wise, has disclosed that 5,675 delegates are expected to attend the party’s upcoming conference.

Speaking to the media at the NPP Headquarters in Asylum Down, Accra, Joe Wise confirmed that the two-day event will take place on Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

He emphasized that the agenda will be centered on proposed amendments from the Constitutional Review Committee, noting that documents have already been shared with the party’s structures for review.

“The agenda is to consider amendments proposed by the Constitutional Review Committee.

“A 300-page document has already been circulated by the General Secretary to all regional and constituency branches,” he stated.“In addition, a 64-page summary has also been made available.

However, all of this will be distilled into specific motions upon which delegates will vote.”

Joe Wise also assured the public and participants that COVID-19-related safety measures are being taken seriously ahead of the gathering.

“We anticipate that issues relating to COVID will come up, and so we have prepared adequately,” he said.“

Our Health Committee has taken all the critical steps necessary to provide guidance to participants so that we do not record any incidents of COVID during the conference.”

The party is expected to host one of its most significant conferences yet, with the proposed amendments likely to shape its structure and strategies moving into future elections.
