NPP invites presidential aspirants for balloting ahead of January 31 Primary

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially invited its presidential aspirants to participate in a balloting exercise to determine their positions on the ballot paper for the upcoming January 31, 2026, presidential primary.

The balloting is scheduled to take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the party’s national headquarters at Asylum Down, Accra. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m.

In a letter signed by William Yamoah, Secretary of the Presidential Elections Committee, the party congratulated the aspirants for successfully completing the vetting process.

“I bring you warm greetings from the Presidential Elections Committee and congratulate you on a successful vetting outcome,” the letter stated.

Mr. Yamoah explained that the exercise will help determine the order in which candidates will appear on the ballot paper for the primary.

“The Chairman of the Committee has directed me to extend an invitation for your participation in a balloting process to determine your positions on the ballot paper for the upcoming January 31st Presidential primary,” the letter read.

The party also urged aspirants to confirm receipt of the invitation and encouraged them to reach out for any clarifications. “Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned,” the letter added.
