National Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, is of the view that the political party sabotaged itself in the 2024 election.
He believes that the National Democratic Congress was clearly not the problem, but rather the NPP was their own problem.
Salam Mustampha believes the lack of unity, internal wrangling, and others played a key role in their defeat.
“During the campaign for the elections, I stated almost everywhere I went that the NDC was not the problem of the NPP and that the problem of the NPP was the NPP and that if we didn’t unite, we would not win. It is still a statement of fact today.
If all the 2.1 million people who didn’t vote in the last election had, we wouldn’t be here today. It is the lack of unity and the apathy that affected us, and we are here today. I want to implore all of you that the party is for all of us and not a select few. It is not for my regional youth organizers, it is for every member of the party. Come on board, let’s hold hands together, let’s move on now on a level playing ground for everybody,” he said.
He used the opportunity to call all members of the party to come on board to help fight together to win power.
