Per Global Info Analytics latest poll on Akwatia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken an early lead ahead of the September 2, 2025 by-election.
In the latest poll, New Patriotic Party’s Solomon Kwame Asumadu leads with a 49.7% against NDC’s Bernard Baidoo who trails with 43.8%.
However, there is a caveat, that the New Patriotic Party may face difficulty as NDC chokes in Apinamang which is a must win for Electoral Area for the NPP.
From the polls, the New Patriotic Party took a wise decision to drop Ama Sey while it was wise for the NDC to drop Asanka and the former Member of Parliament Henry Boakye.
The by-election has become imperative after the death of Ernest Kumi six months after the 2024 elections.
He is said to have died as a result of heart complications.
