Today, July 9, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will formally introduce Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Energy Minister, as the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer.
The Ashanti regional capital of Kumasi’s Jubilee Park will host the event.
The party claims that Dr. Opoku Prempeh will see Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, prior to the major event.
At a meeting held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on Thursday, July 4, the National Council of the NPP fully backed the Manhyia South MP, also known as NAPO.
The NPP’s grassroots membership has largely approved the nomination.
According to President Akufo-Addo, the collaboration is fantastic and would aid the NPP in holding onto power come December 7.
