NPP will suffer if internal contest is acrimonious—Coka warns

A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, known popularly as Chairman Coka, has warned party folks to be meticulous about what they say in the internal contests in the NPP.
He argues that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will present one candidate to the people of Ghana.
Therefore, if they continue to denigrate persons who belong to any of the camps, it will be the NPP which will suffer in the 2028 elections.
To him, he wished the political party could release the Mike Ocquaye report to guide the utterances of party folks.
In a post shared via Facebook, he urged decorum in the system and asked that supporters of persons who have shown interest in contesting for the flagbearership position do that with respect.
He said “You have the right to support whoever you want in any internal contest, but do it peacefully with respect for the other candidates because in the end, we will have to market the winner to Ghanaian voters. Ghanaians will support only one NPP candidate, so let’s be careful about what we say today against each other. I wish Professor Mike Oquaye’s report were made public to stakeholders in the Party to guide us all. May God help us to understand. Amen. Coka, I care”.
