Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, has called for accountability over missing ECG containers.
In a post shared via X on April 2, 2025, he questioned where the containers are, wondering if the 706 containers evacuated by the National Security could be a part of the missing 1340.
He expressed shock at the fact that the decision to evacuate the 706 was kept away from the public eye.
To him, the answers do not make sense, and he has therefore urged the government to provide some form of coherence with the narrative around the missing containers.
His tweet read “Where are the missing ECG containers worth over $700 million? 2. Could these 706 containers evacuated by National Security be part of the missing 1340 containers? 3. Have they accounted for the equipment and logistics contained in the 706 containers in the custody of NS? 4. How come we never heard about this so called evacuation by NS in any of the briefing provided by the Energy Minister thus far? We need coherent answers. We need all the containers accounted for”.
