Ntim Fordjour invites National Security, NIB, Police CID and NACOC for joint briefing on ongoing investigations in Parliament

Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, Rev. John Ntim Fordjour has invited National Security, NIB, Police CID, and the Narcotics Control Commission to brief Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee on major investigations ongoing.
A letter dated April 2, 2025, requested that the security agencies come to Parliament on April 7, 2025 to brief the committee on their ongoing investigations.
Among other things, he wants briefings on the gold and cash bust at Sapeiman on February 9, 2025.
He also wants a briefing on high profile bust of cocaine worth $350 million and another worth $120 million that took place in March.
Finally, the Assin South Member of Parliament wants the security agencies to brief the committee on two suspicious flights namely AirMed Flight n823AM and Covok Air Antonov AN-128 which landed at Kotoka International Airport.
His invitation comes after the president directed these state agencies to collaborate with him to investigate allegations of drug trafficking made by him on April 1, 2025.
