Okudzeto Ablakwa shares successful UK medical trip arrangements for Suzy Pinamang

Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa shared the successful arrangements made for the medical trip of Suzy Adwoa Pinamang, a young Ghanaian woman who was recently injured in a tragic accident.

Ablakwa confirmed that the UK visas for Suzy and two caregivers accompanying her have been secured, ensuring her medical treatment in the United Kingdom.

“I am able to announce that the UK visas for Suzy Adwoa Pinamang and two caregivers accompanying her on her medical trip have been secured,” said Ablakwa, adding that he had personally instructed the Ghana High Commission in the UK to extend special consular privileges upon her arrival.

Ablakwa expressed deep gratitude to Her Excellency Harriet Thompson, the UK High Commissioner to Ghana, who played a significant role in facilitating the process.

“I wish to express profound gratitude to UK High Commissioner, Her Excellency Harriet Thompson, who has been extremely helpful pursuant to my urgent appeal to her on compassionate grounds,” he wrote.

The Foreign Minister also acknowledged the important role played by Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, the Member of Parliament for Bantama, who first alerted him to Suzy’s situation following an accidental gunshot injury by a classmate.

“May I duly commend the MP for Bantama, Hon. Francis Asenso-Boakye, who first brought Suzy’s plight to my attention and requested my intervention as Foreign Minister,” Ablakwa stated.

In his message, Ablakwa did not forget to mention the generous contribution of businessman Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, who has pledged to cover the entire cost of Suzy’s medical treatment in the UK.

“It is also in order to convey heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, who has generously decided to cover the entire cost of Madam Pinamang’s medical treatment in the UK,” he added.

The post concluded with a message of encouragement for Suzy: “I wish Suzy Adwoa Pinamang the very best — don’t give up the fight, brave young lady — you are a winner! You know you can always count on the prayers and support of the Ghanaian people.”
