Ghanaian rapper and businessman, Okyeame Kwame has endorsed King Paluta for Artiste of the Year.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Okyeame Kwame wrote: “Artiste of the year. Signed sealed delivered. And he is wearing the love equation by ok. Medaase.”
Despite the fact that he did not particularly state any award scheme, his post has triggered debates about who should be crowned the Artiste of the Year title at the next Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
Many Ghanaians believe King Paluta is obviously a strong candidate given his hardwork, prominence and popularity during 2024.
King Paluta’s release of three hit songs—Aseda, Makoma, and Pop Champagne in addition with an album and several performances at major concerts both in Ghana and abroad has made him capture the attention of music lovers and he’s now one of the most talked-about musicians.
However, it is important to also mention that some music fans are supporting Stonebwoy, whose outstanding works in 2024 also puts him in the category as well as King Promise, who was a serious candidate for the award last year.
The artiste with the most popularity and audience appeal, as judged by the Academy, Board, and general public, is honored in the Artiste of the Year category of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
The artiste must have garnered one of the most nominations during the year and released a successful single, EP, or album.
The nominations for this year’s awards have not yet been revealed by the TGMA’s organizers.
