Oliver Barker-Vormawor questions shady recruitment of water guards by gov’t

Youth Activist, Oliver Barker-Vormawor has questioned the government on how persons were recruited as water guards to help in the fight against illegal mining, especially in water bodies.

According to him, there were no advertisements for the vacant position to allow all Ghanaians interested in working as water guards.

To him, for a government that is sacking people from office because their recruitment process was shady, it is shocking that the government is also involved in similar shady recruitment.

In a post shared via social media he said “While we are on the topic. Where did this ridiculous water guard idea come from?

I didn’t even see any advertisement recruiting people. Then all of a sudden people are wearing ugly uniforms and matching out of formation.

Ah! Play Dey wanna eye top ooo!

Is it environmental destruction we are toying with like it’s some kwasasa game?”.
