Omane Boamah gives Pope John roads a makeover ahead of 67th anniversary

Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah has spearheaded the resurfacing of internal roads at Pope John Senior High and Minor Seminary in Koforidua-Effiduase, just in time for the school’s 67th anniversary celebrations.
The once-potholed roads now sport a fresh asphalt overlay, easing movement across campus and extending access to nearby institutions like St. Joseph Hospital and GBC’s regional office.
A proud alumnus, Dr. Omane Boamah said the facelift was aimed at “facilitating smooth traffic, productivity, and movement for staff, students, and visitors.”
The upgrade follows an appeal by Headmaster Rev. Fr. Benjamin Opoku Ohene and brings a wave of excitement ahead of the June 13–15 festivities, which will include a Founders’ Day Mass, a speech and prize-giving ceremony, and a homecoming. Dr. Omane Boamah is set to deliver a keynote at the event.
