Dr Ekua Amaokoh, who is part of the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia campaign team, has expressed shock at the decision of some aspirants to use the decision to concede early by Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as a message for their campaign.
She holds the strong view that these individuals clearly do not have a message for the delegates, hence the decision to use that as a message in their campaign.
“Now that we’ve lost, there seems to be a deliberate attempt to put everything onto the person of H.E. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and to me, that action just shows that he is the one to beat. They are all aware that the spirit of the NPP is solidly behind him,” she said.
She continued, “What do they have left to do? There is a lack of messaging and all that. So what they have left to do is to constantly attack things he’s done and his person.”
Ekua Amoakoh explained that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s decision to accept defeat early was to ensure that there is calm and peace in Ghana.
She explained that level-headed Ghanaians hailed the former Vice President for the decision, indicating that it is shocking that other aspirants will use that against him.
