The King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has gifted King Mswati III of Eswatini a 22-carat Ashanti Gold chain.
This was done at a banquet held in honor of the king, who is in the Ashanti Kingdom, to experience the rich culture of the people.
Presenting the gift on behalf of her husband, Lady Julia explained that the 22-carat gold chain has symbolic adinkra symbols embedded on the chain.

She indicated that the gift is a symbol of their affection, gratitude, and pleasure of having the king and his entourage in Kumasi.
“..And for Your Royal Highness, 22-carat Asante Gold also with various Adinkra symbols as a token of our affection, gratitude, and pleasure of having you here in Kumasi. We hope this serves as a remembrance when you return home,” she said.
Other gifts presented were Kente and a matching bracelet and earrings for the gold necklace.
King Mswati III has been in Ghana for the past four days as he works at strengthening cultural ties between Ghana Eswatini.
