Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday is no stranger to the spotlight, but this time, she’s turning it off when it comes to her love life.
In a blunt and emotionally charged video posted to her Instagram page, Nkechi officially confirmed what many fans had already suspected—she’s no longer in a relationship with social media personality Xxssive.
The actress had earlier stirred rumours of a breakup when she shared a cryptic Instagram Story that read: “Single and it’s sweet.”
That single sentence sent the gossip mill spinning, but Nkechi didn’t let it run too far before setting the record straight.
“I’ve been single for months now, and I am very unavailable,” she declared in the video, responding to fans who continue to press her about her relationship status. She also expressed her annoyance at how quickly people zone in on her love life while ignoring other aspects of her posts.
But perhaps the biggest revelation was her decision to shut the door on public access to her romantic life.
“The next relationship I go enter, na only finger nail you go see… in fact, I might not even give you that much,” Nkechi said, visibly fed up with online interference. “It is no longer your business.”
This isn’t the first time the actress has been at the center of romantic drama.
Her highly publicized relationship with controversial political figure Opeyemi Falegan ended in flames in 2022, with both parties airing dirty laundry across social media.
Nkechi accused Falegan of clout-chasing and lying about their breakup, while he, in turn, slammed her for dragging him into unnecessary drama.
Before Falegan, she was linked with American-based Nigerian filmmaker Mike Adeyemi. That relationship also fizzled out with subtle online shades and unconfirmed reports of infidelity and trust issues.
Now, with her latest breakup with Xxssive, it seems Nkechi is ready to prioritize her peace—and this time, she’s drawing a hard line between her personal life and the public eye.
If there’s one thing fans should take seriously, it’s her final note: “I’m not just single—I’m unavailable.”
