Mzbel complains about neglect and mean treatment from NDC ‘big men’ after winning power

Musician Mzbel has complained bitterly about the neglect by the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
According to her, after winning the elections, people in high places who she used to reach via phone have decided not to pick up their calls or return their messages.
What’s even more worrying to her is the fact that those who pick up their calls respond rudely to her demands.
Mzbel, who was seen campaigning vigorously during the 2024 campaign season, says she promised people jobs and opportunities; however, since the party won power, she hasn’t been able to redeem her promise, and that has put immense pressure on her.
She is pleading with the government and leadership of the NDC to help her sort her people out and take off the load she is currently carrying.
“I made promises to graduates I campaigned with in the 2024 elections. Some think that I’ve been given opportunities and I have neglected them, but that is not the case. I run a restaurant, and so I’ve been looking for cooking jobs from the party to no avail. It is a worry because I am under immense pressure from people I promised opportunities. I know big people in the party who were very responsive during the campaign but now they don’t pick their calls. Those who pick too when I lay the demands bare they become very rude,” she told Accra-based Aluta FM.
