Partey welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name— Lawyer Jenny Wiltshire

Footballer Thomas Partey has welcomed the decision of the police to go to court.
He says it will offer him the opportunity to clear himself once and for all.
A statement issued by his lawyer, Jenny Wiltshire, said, “He now welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name. Given that there are now ongoing legal proceedings, my client is unable to comment further.”
Indicating further that the footballer has denied all the charges against him.
“Partey denies all the charges against him. He has fully cooperated with the police and CPS throughout their three-year investigation”.
On Friday July 4, 2025, reports confirmed that Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been charged with five counts of rape.
The 32-year-old, who joined Arsenal in 2020, has also been charged with one count of sexual assault.
The offences are reported to have taken place between 2021 and 2022, the Metropolitan Police said.
A statement said two counts of rape relate to one woman, while three counts of rape relate to a second woman. The alleged sexual assault related to a third woman.
