Philip Brobbey denies selling stolen BMW

Lawyers for Ghanaian businessman Philip Kwame Brobbey have responded strongly to circulating claims that he knowingly sold a stolen BMW 740D vehicle to Kwabena Adu-Boahene, who is currently facing criminal charges.
In a press release issued by Intsiful Law Consult on Mr. Brobbey’s behalf, the legal team stated, “These allegations are completely false, misleading, and defamatory.”
According to the statement, Mr. Brobbey did not import the vehicle but “lawfully acquired it locally before selling it in August 2024”—not December 2024 as widely alleged. The release further noted that the buyer, Mr. Adu-Boahene, conducted all necessary checks before proceeding with the purchase.
The statement continued, “Since the sale, Mr. Brobbey has had no further dealings with Mr. Kwabena Adu-Boahene in any form.”
Lawyers also expressed regret that nearly a year after the transaction, defamatory claims were still emerging and had significantly damaged Mr. Brobbey’s reputation both locally and abroad.
“These allegations have caused substantial reputational damage… drawing unwanted attention from business associates, family, and community members,” the firm stressed.
Calling on the public and media to dismiss the claims, the statement warned against sharing or amplifying such “baseless and false” accusations and urged everyone to exercise caution.
The statement was issued on July 31, 2025, and signed by Intsiful Law Consult.
