Flagbearer aspirant Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has pleaded with New Patriotic Party (NPP) delegates to try him.
According to him, if he fails, the party has the opportunity to sack him and bring in another person after four years.
However, if he excels at the work as a flagbearer and subsequently president, they can support him to continue the good work.
Kennedy Agyapong was speaking to party delegates in the Western North Region when he made this known.
He believes that if he is unable to deliver, the party and the people of Ghana will have the opportunity to sack him, and that will serve as a deterrent to others who will want to come and take over from him.
“If contracts were given to our contractors, would we have been standing there when NDC was distributing money, and would we not be doing the same? Please try me, and let’s see. After four years, if I don’t deliver, you can remove me and try another person; if I do well, we continue to build the country and the party.”
To Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, it is about time the New Patriotic Party learns to resource party people and forget about the selfish interest of a select few.
