The Ghana Police Service has opened an investigation into a viral video showing a man giving a substance believed to be a cigarette to a child.
In a statement shared on its social media platforms, the Police described the act as troubling and confirmed that efforts are underway to identify and arrest the suspect.
According to the statement, ensuring the safety and protection of the child is a top priority.
“We urge members of the public who have any information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the man or the child to report to the nearest Police Station,” the Service appealed.
The investigation is ongoing.
