The Ashanti North Regional Police Command has arrested a man identified as Seidu in connection with a recent robbery at Offinso Abofour in the Ashanti Region.
According to a statement from the Ghana Police Service, the suspect was apprehended on May 25, 2025, during a targeted operation. Preliminary investigations reveal that the robbery led to the theft of an undisclosed quantity of gold and an unspecified amount of cash.
Seidu is currently in police custody and is assisting with ongoing investigations. Authorities believe he may be linked to a series of robbery incidents reported across various parts of the country.
The Police say efforts are underway to track down and arrest Seidu’s accomplices to face the full rigours of the law.
