Policewoman who poured boiling water on colleague interdicted

The Ghana Police Service has taken swift action against Police Constable Alonsi Elizabeth after she allegedly caused harm to a fellow officer.

The suspect reportedly poured hot water on her female colleague following an argument, leading to serious injuries.

In an official statement shared on the Ghana Police Service’s Facebook page, the authorities confirmed her detention and interdiction. “She is currently in custody and will be taken through both internal disciplinary processes and the due processes at the court of law,” the statement read.

The victim sustained injuries to her face and back but is reportedly in a stable condition. “Meanwhile, the victim who sustained injuries to parts of her face and her back is in a stable condition and continues to receive medical attention and support,” the police assured.

This incident raises concerns about professionalism and conduct within the force, as the Ghana Police Service has consistently emphasized discipline among its personnel. While investigations are ongoing, the authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring justice is served.

Further updates on the case are expected as legal and disciplinary proceedings progress.
