Possigee claps back at Obrafour over clout chasing accusation

Awal Alhassan, popularly known in Ghana’s entertainment circles as Possigee, has denied claims by Hiplife legend Obrafour that he is chasing clout.

A recent disagreement erupted between the two over songwriting credits on Sarkodie’s song Hope, which features Obrafour.

The tension began after Possigee shared a video discussing songwriting in the music industry, prompting Obrafour to comment under the post, accusing him of seeking attention.

But in an interview with Amansan Krakye, Possigee responded:

“Most people didn’t agree with Obrafour when he commented that I’m chasing clout, because I don’t even put my name on most of the songs I’ve produced.

“I’m not a clout chaser. In fact, most of the places where people dance to my productions, I don’t even go there for people to see me.”

Possigee further explained that even when Sarkodie invites him out, he often declines to avoid public attention.

“Sometimes, Sarkodie invites me out, but I choose not to go because I don’t want to be in the media space all the time.

“If I were chasing clout, my face would have been in almost every picture with the countless artists I’ve worked with over the past 20 years.”

He concluded by suggesting that Obrafour may not truly know him:“Clout chasing was one of the things Obrafour accused me of. That’s what made me realise he might not know me well after all.”
