Pour out your pain through music

Singer and songwriter Kofi Kinaata has opened up about the emotional toll of recent national tragedies, revealing how deeply they have weighed on him. In a heartfelt post, Kinaata expressed his grief over the string of painful events that have shaken the country in recent months.

“From the loss of 16 kids, to the passing of our legendary musicians, and now the helicopter tragedy, it’s been weighing heavily on my soul,” Kinaata wrote. “What makes it even harder is knowing I’ve been on that same flight twice this year. That thought just won’t leave me.”

His message struck a chord with fans and fellow musicians alike. Rapper Sarkodie responded by urging him not to suppress his emotions but to pour them into his art.

“It’s a very dark time and I can relate 💯%,” Sarkodie replied. “As a true artist, you can only channel what you feel, so don’t fight it. Just pour out what you are feeling inside… you don’t know who might need it. Drop the music.”

Kinaata later quoted Sarkodie’s message, describing him as “Landlord” and writing, “IT IS FINISHED!” accompanied by a weary face emoji, signaling his appreciation of the advice.
