Probe underway after Accra building collapse injures 14 workers

An official investigation is underway to determine the cause of a building collapse at the Roman Ridge Engineering Centre in Accra that left 14 construction workers injured on Tuesday.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed that the cause of the three-storey building’s collapse remains unknown.
A technical investigation has been initiated to examine whether the construction project met all structural and safety requirements.
Following the incident, the site manager has been instructed to halt all construction activities until the investigation is completed and any necessary corrective safety measures are implemented.
The GNFS assured that further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
All 14 workers were rescued from the site and transported to the 37 Military Hospital and Ridge Hospital for emergency medical care. No fatalities have been reported.
